The Toros Academy is a new program designed for 8-11 year old boys and girls interested in making an initial, partial step toward Select competitive, travel soccer.

The Academy provides professional coaching by state and nationally licensed coaches, higher levels of competition, and an introduction to travel soccer.

The Academy will be led during the spring season by Coach Gary Winchester, Head Soccer Coach for the Erskine College Women's Team

Compared with a full, Select travel program, the Academy offers reduced expenses, a shorter season (just three months), and reduced travel and weekend commitments.

The Lakelands Toros would like to congratulate the following teams:

  • U-17 Boys Fire won the Division I, Presidents Medal State Cup, Fall 2010.
  • U-18 Girls Rage placed runner up in the Fall 2010 Presidents Medal State Cup.
  • U-18 Boys Spurs won the Presidents Medal State Cup, Fall 2009.
  • U-14 Boys Phoenix won the Spring 2009 Presidents Medal State Cup Division B.
  • U-13 Boys United placed runner-up in the Spring 2009 Presidents Medal State Cup Division A.
  • U-12 Boys Storm placed runner-up in the 2009 South Carolina Youth Soccer Kohl's American Cup.
  • U-11 Boys Pride finished first in the CESA Fall Challenge Tournament, Fall 2009.
