Registration for spring soccer will be held from February 12th to March 1st. Late registrations will be accepted only if there is available space.
Practices will begin the week of March 22nd and games will begin after April 12th.

What about 4-5 year olds? Our Toros Academy program is structured specifically to introduce the sport and skills of soccer to young children.
Registration for the spring season can be done in three ways:
1. Fill out the registration form and mail it with your $50 payment and copy of child’s birth certificate to: Lakelands Toros Soccer Club, PO Box 1422, Greenwood, SC 29648.
2. Fill out the registration form and drop it off at any of the Greenwood County Parks & Recreation Offices with payment and a copy of the child’s birth certificate. (Greenwood office – 8:30am – 5:00pm new office is located at the Civic Center Tennis Courts / Ninety Six – 3:00pm – 5:00pm / Ware Shoals – 3:00pm – 5:00pm)
3. Register online by clicking HERE. Online registration allows credit card payments. A copy of the child’s birth certificate must still be mailed to the Lakelands Toros (see address #1 above).
**Children who played soccer in the fall of 2009 do not need to provide another copy of their birth certificate, those are still on file. **

Cancellations due to field closures
All players should be registered with RainedOut.com. This free service will send a text message to your mobile phone in the case of a game or practice cancellation due to field closure. This is the method that will be used to notify players and coaches.
**This applies to field closures only. If your coach needs to cancel or reschedule a practice, you will be notified directly.**

About Lakelands Youth Soccer
The Lakelands Toros Soccer Club is a member of the Lakelands Youth Soccer (LYS). LYS is a newly formed partnership involving Lakelands Toros Soccer, Greenwood County Parks & Recreation, Abbeville City Parks & Recreation, Greenwood Family YMCA as well as Ware Shoals, Due West, McCormick and Ninety-Six soccer programs. All of these organizations are coming together to standardize coaches training, field sizes, team sizes, officiating and scheduling to improve the quality of the soccer experience for children in the Lakelands area. Each partner brings skills and assets to the program that can insure the overall program provides the best possible experience for the children who enroll. This partnership is designed to create a combined and stronger recreational program.
Greenwood Parks and Recreation’s soccer program will be overseen by the Lakelands Toros Soccer Club. We will be forming teams for players ages 6 and-up. The registration fee will be $50 per child which covers a soccer game jersey, referee fees and coach’s training. We are planning for 1-2 practice sessions and 1 - 2 games per week. Teams will be formed in Greenwood, Ware Shoals and Ninety-Six. All of the practices and most of the games will take place at your “home” field on weekday evenings with limited Saturdays.
